Board Members
The individuals serving on the Reformation Classical Academy School Board lead, encourage, and inspire the school community in their pursuit of an excellent classical and Christ-centered education. The Board currently meets bi-weekly on Wednesdays at 3:15 p.m. Dates and times are subject to change, so please contact the school to confirm. All School Board meetings are open to the RCA community with the exception of periodic planning and executive sessions.
Meet Our Board Members
Rev. Brad Peppo
Board Member - Chairman
Brad Peppo serves as the Regional Home Missionary of the Miami Valley for the Orthodox Presbyterian Church. After enjoying the blessings of Christian education at Sugar Grove Christian School and Dayton Christian High School, Brad went on to study at Moody Bible Institute, the Master’s College, and Wright State University before graduating from Cedarville College with bachelor’s degrees in Bible and history.
From 1998-2002, he taught third grade and Latin at Mars Hill Academy in Mason, Ohio. After obtaining his Master’s in English from University of Dayton, he returned to Mars Hill to teach Logic and Rhetoric during his last two years at U.D. School of Law, from which he graduated in 2008. Brad worked as an attorney for a few years and then earned a Master’s degree from Greenville Presbyterian Theological Seminary in 2014, at which point he began the home missions work in which he continues to be engaged. He has been involved in the planting of three OPC churches in the Miami Valley. Brad and his wife Cinnamon have been married for 28 years; they have a son who attends Grove City College and a daughter who attends Cedarville University.
Dr. Marc Clauson
Board Member
Dr. Marc Clausson has had a vital interest in classical Christian education for over 30 years. He and his wife Jennifer helped start a classical school in Lynchburg, VA, and Marc served on the committee to implement the Upper School of Trinity Christian Academy in Lexington, KY. A native of West Virginia, he is currently Professor of History, Law and Honors, Cedarville University (2002-present).
He earned his PhD in Intellectual History and Polity from the University of the Orange Free State (South Africa); his JD from West Virginia University College of Law; an MA in New Testament and Early Church History, and a ThM in Reformation Church History, both from Liberty University; and an MA in Political Science and his BS in Physics, both from Marshall University. He also earned a Graduate Diploma with Duke University’s Summer Program in History of Economic Thought and did PhD work in Economics at West Virginia University.
Marc and his wife have four adult daughters and three sons-in-law, and they are members of Veritas Church in Dayton. Marc is also ordained in the Presbyterian Church in America. He has published three books, co-edited one, and is working on another, and has published several articles on bioethical issues, constitutional law and historical theology and philosophy.
Lt. Col. USAF (ret.) Nathan Jones
Board Member
Mr. Nathan Jones grew up in Columbus, Georgia, in a Christian home. He attended the United States Air Force Academy, where he graduated in the top 7% of his class. He subsequently graduated from the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT) and the Air Force Test Pilot School, earning a BS and MS in Aeronautical Engineering. Over the course of 23 years Nathan flight-tested many different aircraft, and for 16 years taught at AFIT and the Defense Acquisition University. He also served on the staff of the Government Reform and Oversight Committee of the House of Representatives for a year. He currently leads a 30-person team to help develop and flight test “flying cars.”
For nearly 20 years Nathan taught junior high Sunday school and served as an elder at Covenant OPC in Vandalia, and now serves as an elder at Light of the Nations OPC. He helped start another Christian School and taught there for several years. He and his wife Linda have no children, but enjoy working with and mentoring the children and young people of their church.
Mr. Paul Brinkerhoff - Headmaster

Mr. Paul Brinkerhoff has been working in Christian schools for 38 years, the last 25 of those in classical and Christian education. He has taught classes from 5th through 12th grade, and at various times has served as an athletic director, dean of students, jr. high principal, and academic dean.
Paul was born and raised in northern New Jersey, within sight of the New York City skyline. After attending Wheaton College and Westminster Theological Seminary, he moved to southern Louisiana, where he and his growing family enjoyed life in the heart of Cajun country. For the past 22 years he has worked at Mars Hill Academy just outside Cincinnati. Paul and his wife Bette have four adult children and two younger ones, and have been blessed to see the wonderful fruit a classical Christian education can provide. They are members of Covenant Presbyterian Church, and love the worship and work of the body of Christ.
